This foyer area was plain until we added wainscotting around all of the entry way walls. We updated the base moulding trim and added crown moulding and raised panel wainscoting around all the walls, the doors and windows. Wainscotting was a combination of MDF inset panels, framed with pine wood. The wainscot was painted an accent color to stand out against the newly wallpapered walls.
The raised panel details are installed around the front door area, and the base moulding ties it all to the existing structural details. The door moulding was made wider to match the new wall panels and base moulding.
