The garage doors on this historic garage were falling apart, but the homeowner wanted to recreate a similar look, rather than replace with modern garage doors. We preserved the look of the old garage doors, with new custom fabricated doors that match. This historic home had odd sized doors that had to be custom made to fit the existing openings.
This old house in Bay Shore has a garage to match. The homeowner wanted to preserve the look of the old doors, which were too rotted to salvage. New custom fabricated doors are made of 2″x 6″ frames and exterior plywood for long life. Hung with new hardware the doors will last for many years.
